Job Description
The Team Lead Commissioning ensures the punctual execution of commissioning interventions and training at customer sites by him/herself and the Central European team in an efficient and qualitative manner, in accordance with the group QSHE standards. He/she is a technical expert and advisor to colleagues. Supports the team with needed tools, clothing and personal protective measures. Coaches the team and defines training needs. He/she joins a periodic 24/7 standby service in order to solve problems immediately.
Functional Responsibilities:
Commissioning activities
- You will start-up shuttles, elevators, conveyors and WCS at our customers’ locations.
- You are willing to travel. You work typically 2 or 3 weeks on-site.
- You are responsible for PLC software (Beckhoff) configuration and live testing.
- You support end users and our integrators with level 1 and level 2 support, both on site, by telephone and via remote connection.
- You give training where necessary.
- You will be joining a periodic 24/7 hotline service in order to solve problems immediately.
Team Management/Soft Skills
- Participates in hiring by attracting/recommending new team members and joining interviews.
- Is able to understand the assignments of the team members and to support them in fulfilling their assignments.
- Conduct periodic calls with all team members to maintain alignment and address ongoing issues.
- Ensures clear communication of project goals, serving as a primary contact for the team and stakeholders.
- Identifies and mediates team conflicts, promotes feedback and solutions for team cohesion.
- You give feedback and advise on the team planning to ensure Movu Robotics’ deploys the optimal skills tailored to the customer and work to be carried out.
Project Oversight
- Regularly follow up on projects, utilizing pre-commissioning and commissioning checklists to ensure readiness.
Customer Relations
- Ensures communication towards customers is diplomatic and supports the Customer relationship.
- Reports any escalations to the Director Project Execution and helps to build a plan to mitigate now and avoid customer escalations in the future.
- Suggests and discusses ideas to improve customer satisfaction to the Director Project Execution.
General
- Follows up on the efficiency and quality of commissioning task execution.
- Review and update the standard tool list, adding new tools as needed for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Keeps track of (local + personal) stock of tools, clothing and Personal Protective Measures needed by the team.
- Analyses questions for on-site and/or other relevant information provided by and external stakeholders.
- Reports missing information, issues and/or proposes other possible solutions to the stakeholder.
Administration & other
- Ensures all team information is properly stored and easily retrievable by internal stakeholders.
- Follows up on administration of the commissioning team (daily logging, hour registration,…)
- Suggests improvements to the administrative process to the Director Project Execution.
Training & Development
- Coaches the team to grow (suggests training courses, reports possible career opportunities of team members,…)
- Provides comprehensive training for new team members to ensure they are well prepared and informed.
- Ensures technical escalations are shared with the Product Expert team.
- Maintains and improves relevant managerial knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in leading a team.
- Proven experience in a logistic/automation environment.
- For some projects you are willing to work at heights or in refrigerated areas.
- Comfortable with software tools and systems.
- Hands-on approach with ability to perform repairs.
- Proficient in English, other Central European languages are a plus.
- Computer skills: MS Office + Teams
- You are sociable, eager to learn, driven and solution-oriented.
- Naturally customer-friendly.
