Job Description

The Test & Validation Manager leads and coaches a team of Test & Validation Engineers, Prototype Engineers and Technicians.  

Your tasks

  • As team manager, you are consolidating a group of 12 staff and building up the competence of the Validation activity within Movu Robotics.
  • With your team, you define and develop Verification & Validation procedures, work instructions, test scripts, and other documentation to demonstrate that the system fits its purpose and satisfies the stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Create and monitor the Document structure: test reports, test protocols…
  • Recommend corrective actions and obtain stakeholder acceptance of validation results.
  • Define and develop strategies for verification and validation, including the use of simulators and testbeds.
  • Log defects and issues found during V&V activities and track to closure.
  • Prioritize project tasks to complete on schedule while maintaining quality of work.
  • Promote the use of model-based systems engineering approaches, requirements management, defect management, and test management.
  • Collaborate closely and stay aligned with other groups, both within and external to Movu Robotics
  • Lead technical design reviews at various stages of the program lifecycle.
  • Administrate the team and support our engineers’ development.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Automation, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Computer engineering or related fields.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience preferably in testing machines and/or systems.
  • Ideally, you have code experience in C, C++, MATLAB Simulink, Robotic Operating System (ROS), and embedded Linux would be appreciated.
  • Ideally, you have used HIL and/or SIL type of testing.
  • V-model experience (requirement, design, coding, integration, testing…).
  • You have a solid experience in management and leadership. You can organize your team and empower your staff.
  • “Maker” mentality.
  • Autonomous and team player.
  • English is a must. Dutch is a big plus.
