If you like to program in C# and like to do more than programming only, the job of Simulation Engineer can be something for you.

How many shuttles or AMR’s are required for the requested throughput? Or how much time is needed to bring pallets to the loading dock? Or what is the maximum throughput of the system when we add shuttles?Or what is the best storage strategy for that customer? Or can we improve the algorithms to increase the performance of the system?

These are some of the questions that the Simulation Engineer needs to answer.

As Simulation Engineer you will work in the Global Solution Team, centralized in the headquarters in Lokeren, to support the Sales Engineers in the different regions and where you will develop a simulation environment in sim3D using C# to find out the right answers.

What do we expect from you?

  • Active participation in the development of the simulation platform and models.
  • Optimization of the already existing algorithms.
  • Standardization of simulation models.
  • Analysis of functional customer data and deriving necessary parameters.
  • Attending customer’s meetings and verifying the simulation in collaboration with Sales.
  • Providing ideas for solving bottlenecks and layout optimizations.
  • Setting up intralogistical flow simulation models based on provided layouts.
  • Modelling and development of test scenarios with the goal of reaching maximum throughput, as well as test scenarios to be used as installation acceptance criteria.
  • Making a proper Simulation rapport to accompany the Sales Offering.
  • Creating animations.

Qualifications

Your profile :

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
  • You have an advanced understanding of programming in C#
  • You have a technical background in simulation ?
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant experience?
  • You are communicative and hands-on.
  • You are an autonomous team player. 
  • You speak fluently Dutch and English.
  • You are punctual and precise.
  • Knowledge of SIM3D = a plus
